What do I do when I arrive at the booking?

Showing up at your first booking can be exciting, but it can also be nerve wracking. Here are a few things you can do to help.

  • Remember your abilities. You wouldn’t have gotten to this point if you weren’t qualified to do this. You’ve passed our vetting process, the careseeker looked at your profile and saw someone capable; you can do this.

  • Show up with a smile. Remember that while they’ve seen your profile photo, there is still a lot of value in a first meeting.

  • Review expectations. Go over what they’ve asked you to do and check that you’ll have the time, information and materials to do it.

  • Ask questions. Make sure you know everything you need to in order to meet expectations.

  • Take notes. This will help you remember.

Every booking might not be perfect and that’s okay. What matters most is that you’ve done your best and you’ve made a positive impact in someone’s life.
