Non-Discrimination and Equality Policy

Alto and its affiliates prohibit discrimination against users based on race, religion, national origin, disability, sexual orientation, sex, marital status, gender identity, age or any other characteristic protected under applicable law. Such discrimination includes, but is not limited to, any user refusing to provide or accept services based on any of these characteristics. Any user found to have violated this prohibition will lose access to Alto.  Everyone who interacts with Alto is responsible for complying with all applicable, non-discrimination laws.

Discrimination, Equality and Harassment Policy

Alto is an equal opportunity platform. We don’t tolerate discrimination against gender, age, sexual orientation, race, nationality, ethnicity, religion, disability, veteran status or any other characteristics protected under applicable law. We want both caregivers and careseekers to treat others with respect, professionalism and dignity.  Each individual has the right to work in a professional atmosphere that promotes equal opportunities and prohibits unlawful discriminatory practices, including harassment. Therefore, Alto expects that all relationships among careseekers and caregivers will be business-like and free of explicit bias, prejudice and harassment.

Alto does not condone, and may take action to address, behaviour that interferes with the provision of a positive, productive environment for working. Examples of prohibited behaviours include disorderly or abusive conduct or language, damaging property, shouting or screaming, aggressive verbal or physical behaviour and rude, demeaning, intimidating or threatening behaviour.

Alto has developed this policy to ensure that all people who interact with the platform can work and receive care in an environment free from unlawful harassment, discrimination and retaliation. Alto will make every reasonable effort to ensure that all concerned are familiar with these policies and are aware that any complaint in violation of such policies will be investigated and resolved appropriately.

Equal opportunity

It is the policy of Alto to ensure equal opportunities without discrimination or harassment on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, disability, marital status, citizenship, national origin, genetic information, or any other characteristic protected by law. Alto prohibits any such discrimination or harassment.
