Vetting Process

Alto vets every caregiver before they can be booked on our platform.

Because finding quality care from qualified professionals shouldn’t be that hard.

Criminal Record Check

A criminal record check with vulnerable sector from your local municipal police station or RCMP detachment that is no more than 3 months old.

CPR & First Aid

Up-to-date CPR & First Aid certifications from an accredited Canadian institution.

Identity

A piece of government-issued photo ID.

Post-Secondary

Post-secondary is not required, however if a caregiver has a Personal Support Worker certificate, Continuing Care Assistant certificate, Disability Support Worker certificate, etc., it can be provided in the Vetting Process to receive a Home Support Worker badge on your profile.

If a caregiver would like to advertise any other credentials they have (we recommend it), they may do so by including it in their Vetting Process under “Other Credentials”. If we approve it, they may mention the credential in their bio.

Trust is key.

77% of caregivers listed good relations with clients and family as their biggest source of motivation.

We vet all of our caregivers so careseekers and caregivers can focus on what matters - creating productive, meaningful, professional relationships.
