How do I get paid on Alto?

Once a booking has been completed, it’s time for caregivers to get paid. What exactly does that look like?

It’s important to know that the payment process starts after the booking request has been accepted by you. At this point, the client’s card is immediately charged and the booking status will change from Requested to Paid.

Pay period cut off is on Tuesday at 12:00am for payouts processed on Friday at 12:00am. That means any hours you work after Tuesday at 12:00am will be paid out the following Friday. For example, if you were to work on a Wednesday, you would be paid out next Friday.

After processing, it can take up to 5 business days for the funds to show up in your bank account. As you receive more payouts from alto, the payouts should start to show up in your bank account more quickly.

In order to get paid, you need to set up direct deposit through Stripe. To do so, log in and visit the Account tab. Click “View Your Bank Account Connection.” Make sure to select Independent/Sole Proprietorship.

Stripe is a third-party business we use to process payments. They are one of the most secure payment processors and are trusted by Amazon, Google, Zoom, and more. When you connect your bank account, we will only ever be able to deposit money into your account - never take any out. Your bank details are safe with Stripe.
