Home care
Continuing care
Home Care is publicly funded personal and healthcare services for clients of all ages living in a private residence or other setting, such as suites in a retirement residence.
Publicly funded home care services is typically based on an assessment of an individual's needs, as well as their ability to pay for the services.
Government funded care solutions
Directly funded care programs provide individuals with a budget to arrange their own home care instead of the publicly funded arranged services. It is best to speak with your home care coordinator as information is limited.
Alto does not act as an employer for any caregivers on the platform. Therefore you may use funding directly paid to you by the government however you must ensure your caregiver has the appropriate documentation requested by the program. For more information on direct funding please visit our ‘Directly-Funded Care Programs in Canada Resource and Links’.
