What Does Alto Do to Support Safety?

Every aspect of the Alto platform has been designed to protect the safety of the individuals using it. One of the most significant ways we do that is by being transparent.

We are open and honest about the vetting process we put caregivers through. Read more about that here.

We encourage the people on our platform to be open and honest as well, facilitating clear communication about care needs through Care Profiles.

We also give users the opportunity to communicate through our Inbox to discuss any specifics relating to bookings.

Another important aspect of safety is security.

We protect the information of our caregivers by keeping their credentials in a secure portal, accessible only by specific, trained members of our team.

We manage secure payments by utilizing Stripe, one of the largest, most secure online payment processors trusted by Google, Amazon, Zoom, and more.

Unlike some other care platforms, we operate a request-based system. Instead of posting a public listing detailing your care needs for anyone to see, you can browse through our pool of vetted caregivers and find one that fits your needs, schedule, and price range before choosing to send them your Care Profile detailing your care needs. This way, you have control over who you’re sharing information about yourself and/or your loved ones with.
